Too many names for a few very similar things
Read expat groups in Vietnam and you'll see a pile of names: Border Run, Stamp Run, Moc Bai Run, "visa bounce", the Russian "обнуление безвиза"… They sound different, so it's easy to think they're different services.
🔑 The truth: most of these are just names for the SAME idea — go out through an international border gate and come back. And when you need transport, they're all a Border Run Tour.
Here's a glossary to clear the confusion.

🔹 Border Run The most general term: go out to an international gate and re-enter. With transport, this is a Border Run Tour.
🔹 Stamp Run Emphasises the purpose: going to get a new entry stamp — usually to reset a visa-exemption stay. Same nature as a Border Run.
🔹 Moc Bai Run Just a Border Run named after the Moc Bai gate (Cambodia border, south). You might also see "Ha Tien run", etc. Still a Border Run Tour, just a different gate direction.
🔹 "Visa bounce" / "hop" A casual term: "bounce" out and back in. Still a Border Run.
🔹 "Обнуление безвиза" (Russian) Means "resetting the visa-exemption to zero" — exactly a Stamp Run / Border Run for visa-exempt travellers.
💡 All of the above, when you need transport, come down to one thing: a Border Run Tour — a border-gate tour for people who just need to cross (already have a new E-Visa, or are resetting an exemption stamp).
⚠️ One difference you must NOT confuse
Don't mix up "Border Run" and "Visa Run".
- Border Run Tour = just cross the border (you already have a new E-Visa, or you're visa-exempt)
- Visa Run Tour = cross the border AND get support to renew your 90-day E-Visa

🌐 Why each language has its own name
Russians often type "обнуление безвиза", Koreans say "보더런", English speakers use "border run / stamp run". Same need, different wording. If you search in your own language and see an unfamiliar name, it's very likely still a Border Run Tour.

- "I already have a new E-Visa / I'm visa-exempt, I just need to cross." → Border Run Tour
- "I need a new 90-day E-Visa." → Visa Run Tour
- "I'm not sure which category I'm in." → free Advisor tool or message support
⚠️ Common misconceptions
❌ "Border Run, Stamp Run, Moc Bai Run are different services." → Mostly they're different names for the same idea — crossing the border. With transport, all are a Border Run Tour.
❌ "A Border Run gets me a new E-Visa too." → No. A Border Run has no E-Visa. Need a new visa → Visa Run Tour.
❌ "Is this buying a bus ticket to Moc Bai?" → No. It's registering to join a border-gate day tour run by a travel unit.
❌ "If I'm visa-exempt I can 'reset the stamp' any number of times." → Exemption policy has conditions and can change; check official sources.
